About Me
I am Anabelle Doulas (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
Your therapeutic journey can and should change over the course of time, just as you change. I am comfortable with transitioning alongside you on that journey.
I work with individuals (children, adolescents, young adults, and adults) and their families as part of their therapeutic journeys. Throughout the past 10+ years, I have worked in a variety of different settings throughout my career thus far-- e.g., community mental health, child welfare, residential treatment, and inpatient psychiatry. I am passionate about social work in general, and have worked alongside individuals of varying populations-- e.g., adjudicated youth, Youth in Care. I feel comfortable and confident with the spectrum of presentations and diagnoses (e.g., no former diagnoses, depression, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder, complex trauma, substance use disorders, intellectual and developmental disorders). I work to validate and affirm all identities.
I obtained my Bachelor's of Science (BS) in Psychology and Bachelor's of Art (BA) in Sociology from Loyola University Chicago. I completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania. I am trained and practice a variety of different therapeutic techniques. I work to identify what is best for the therapeutic space, along with you, for that moment:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Subspeciality: TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused CBT)
Motivational Interviewing
Play Therapy
Subspeciality: Sand Tray Therapy
Dialectial Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
