Therapy

Individual Therapy

I work alongside children (5 years and older), adolescents, young adults, and adults as they reflect, growth, and change.

I take a person-centered approach, which means the session can be as structured or unstructured as it needs to be in order to make progress toward your goals. For structured, we can engage in an evidenced-based therapy (like CBT or DBT). For unstructured, we can focus on processing through talk or play whatever you have for our space. This can also change during the course of treatment, based on your needs at the time.

Take a look at the "About Me" page to learn more about my experiences and training.

Family Therapy

The aim of family therapy is to work toward what is best for the family system on the whole- not just one individual. I work with families to assess their needs, enhance communication to better hear the other, and grow and develop together.

Working with children and adolescents often (not all the times) means working with families. The family system often needs to change to support the changes and growth the young person is making. I often provide supplemental family therapy, family information sessions, or parent coaching to further enhance these changes.

Parent Coaching

There is absolutely no guidebook to being a parent. This is especially so if your child is experiencing struggles with their mental health. Oftentimes, we think we are "doing it wrong" all the time. Parent coaching is a space to reflect on your values, obtain education on your child's developmental and mental health needs, and gain a sense of intention with your interactions.
